H2O:The elements of joy, love & memory

Courtesy of this week’s Photo Challenge named H2O given by WordPress The Daily Post, I got to share a moment from that amazing day at Princep Ghat, Calcutta a few weeks back!

It’s my friend and me taking a selfie in front of the Hoogly River and the huge Vidyasagar Setu (2nd Hoogly Bridge). It was too sunny and hot, yet the cool breeze was very soothing, and we longed to sit there the whole day! In this busy conglomerate city where people are always running around in stress and tired from work, the Hoogly River is present as our irreplaceable lifeline, and acts as a much-needed physical, mental and spiritually relaxing stimulant to instill new vigour inside us. The river is also a silent witness of lives lost and gained, love realized, friendships made and memories formed.

In a nutshell, it’s another name for life. Water is life. So is H2O. They are all the same 🙂

Finally, here’s another reminder of the site where the river awaits all. Come to this Station on the Circular Railway Route of Eastern Railways (Sealdah), and you’ll know what I mean 😉
